I'm not sure when I wrote it, but I'm warning you, it's not a positive poem. It may even be depressing!
MIRROR
Radiates shafts of light.
Reflects a beauteous face.
Revives a broken soul.
Reshapes a melted heart.
Mirror, mirror,
Don’t you see me?
I stand before you
Weeping wildly.
Mirror, mirror,
Don’t you share my sorrow?
Why are you impartial to my grief?
Do you just stare?
Mirror, mirror,
Your eyes glint coldly at me.
You seem not to understand.
You seem not to care.
Is it really true
That you make dreams come true?
Do you really reshape?
Do you really revive?
Mirror, mirror,
My trust is in vain.
You reject my love.
You share not my pain.
Mirror, mirror,
All you are
Is a
Cold, shiny reflection.
Yes,
That is
All you are.
